Discover how convalescent COVID-19 plasma therapy originated in the United States

'If you could meet the person who donated their plasma that was transfused into your body, what would you say to them?' Lona Townsley, a recipient of convalescent COVID-19 plasma was asked. She responded that she would say 'thank you so much for giving me another chance at life!'

Townsley is a two-time cancer survivor who was in the hospital on a ventilator when her doctor administered convalescent COVID-19 plasma. She is now breathing on her own and feeling better.
